If you’re a Starlink user, at some point you might need to stow the antenna, whether it’s to return it to the company, solve a problem, or simply move it to a new location.
In any case, the “stow” option will be very useful for you.
There are three methods to stow the Starlink antenna: you can use the app, but there are also a couple of manual methods that require more effort. You can even stow the antenna if it’s damaged or unresponsive.
In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to do it easily and in detail.
Stowing Starlink Using the App
The most recommended method to stow Starlink is through the app. This method works if your Starlink is functioning correctly and you can connect to it either locally or remotely.
Step 1: Open the Starlink app on your device.
Step 2: Select “Settings.”
Step 3: Scroll down to the “Stow Starlink” section.
Step 4: Select “Stow” and then press “Confirm” to complete the action.
Note: If you’re connected to your Starlink remotely, you’ll see a second confirmation message. You won’t be able to undo the stow action or restore your internet service if you stow the antenna via a remote connection!
If you decide to proceed, tap “Confirm.”
While the antenna is stowed, your Starlink service will be interrupted. However, your router and Wi-Fi network will remain active.
To restore internet service, just follow the same steps and select the “Unstow” option in the settings.
If you’re connected remotely, you won’t see this option, as you need to be connected locally to restore the service.
